Machining Supv- 2nd ShiftStart: ASAP End: 6 months 2nd shift 2:30pm-11:30pm for 2nd shift (must be flexible at the start or end of shift) Onsite Tractor Plant Must have supervisor experience within a Machine Shop and must have experience running CNC equipment Responsibilities include:Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand. Follows established procedures to drive safety and continuous improvement in the plant's CNC machining production processes.Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to delivery safety, quality and delivery daily production goals effectively using people and equipment resources.Coordinates with Planning to adhere to production schedules and aligns staff and work schedules to meet the needs of internal and external customers. Works with Planning to revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems such as part shortages or machine down situations.Utilizes data to recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or associates.Knowledge of machining quality processes including proper gauging of machined parts and tooling wear/lifeCoordinate with other departments on daily scheduling and prioritization of grey-iron machining and fabrication production.Provide shift-to-shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals. Communicate to all employees regarding all issues affecting the plant.Drive daily focused problem solving activities against safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost through implementation of robust countermeasures.Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources.
