Production Supervisor

Shift SupervisorJackson, TNTo effectively coordinate and supervise production activities on the assigned shift, utilizing equipment, materials, people and support services, so that the plant meets budgeted objectives in a safe and efficient manner, while achieving customer's quality expectations.Essential Functions & Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage Adjustor Supervisors, their subordinates and warehouse personnel to make sure their work runs on schedule and meets Company standardsDemonstrate leadership, work with own team members to provide them with expectations, tools, training and timely feedback/accountability needed in order to be effectiveResponsible for training and development of new employees, providing timely feedback of their progress to trainee and managementPromote a good employee/management relationship and a safe work environment to meet the plant's overall objectivesEnsure all company and safety policies are adhered to by all team membersResponsible for daily manning and assignment of machines to achieve optimum objectives and schedule requirementsMonitor equipment performance by making sure machines are maintained properly, running at proper speeds and producing quality productsTrack and keep production records for shift. Develop corrective action or improvement plan to address any variance from budgetDemonstrate effective communication with other shift supervision and plant management in meeting plant objectivesMonitor product produced to ensure quality standards are met at all timesMonitor performance, minimize waste, and suggest improvements to plant managementWork efficiently and effectively in addressing any issuesSupport other department and plant programs to achieve overall plant objectivesFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety PracticesOther miscellaneous duties as assigned by management, including food safetyRequirementsHigh school diploma required5 years experience as an Adjuster Supervisor or 3-5 years successful experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environmentExperience in a lean manufacturing environment a plusPosition requires individual who can make accurate and timely decisions regarding safety, product quality, production, and waste. Needs keen eyesight (no colorblindness) to spot errors.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
