Production SupervisorOur Marine organization is a trusted provider of innovative solutions for the worldwide boating and boat building industry, and we recently expanded our scope to lead the boating industry into an electrified future. Dometic has won numerous NMMA Innovation Awards over the years, and we are always striving for new ways to make boating easier, safer, and more enjoyable.Dometic Marine's facility in Sparta, TN produces roto-molded fuel and ballast tanks and other roto-molded products for industrial applications. The site also manufactures select marine furniture, aluminum tanks, blow-molded portable tanks, and sanitation systems.We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Production Supervisor. This position reports to the Production Manager and will work in Sparta, TN.About the PositionAs Production Supervisor of the Sparta team, you will be involved in the direction and management of multiple manufacturing departments/activities, (i.e.

– Rotational Molding processes and Steering processes) through subordinate Team Leaders to achieve timely production of quality products at the most economical cost. You must work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment, schedule and plan production effectively and communicate the schedule/production plan to manufacturing groups as assigned. Must possess the ability to identify problems, assess manufacturing needs, problem solve and implement solutions in an effective and timely manner.Your Main ResponsibilitiesActively promotes and ensures a safe and clean work environmentResponsible for all aspects of production in areas assignedResponsible for achieving all manufacturing goals and objectivesTroubleshoots problems and implements solutions in a timely mannerEstablishes training, counsels, motivates and coaches immediate subordinatesResponsible for maintaining up to date data for department data basesReview, revise or adjust manufacturing schedule as neededMonitor manufacturing supplies/tools and reorder as neededMonitor all equipment in departments and fill out any maintenance requests as neededResponsible for manufacturing all products within published quality specificationsResponsible for plant security on respected shift of operations.Responsible for inventory control on material and parts in manufacturing areaConduct in-depth accident investigations focusing on root cause analysisAdminister disciplinary action for immediate subordinates based on company policy and proceduresEnforce all company policies and proceduresReport any HR issues to immediate Supervisor as well as the HR departmentAbility to work with basic computer programs – Word, Excel, MAPICSApprove immediate subordinates UKG (including maintaining schedules), vacation requests, excused absences, etc.Work closely with HR to maintain staffing levels and accurate tracking of labor placementMust create and maintain an atmosphere that focuses on safety, quality, and production effectiveness.Track and communicate production and quality issuesEnsure proper training of new or relocated employees to maintain acceptable product qualityAny other duties as assignedWhat Do We Offer?You are offered an interesting role in a dynamic, fast paced and global environment with great opportunities to grow, evolve with the company and take on new challenges.Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Disability insurance (STD/LTD)401 (k) with company matchPTOCompany defined holidays and two floating holidays for you to use as you choosePaid maternity/paternity leaveTuition assistanceMembership reimbursement (wholesale club and gym)Employee discounts on our incredible productsOpportunities to make an impactSkills & RequirementsA suitable background would be a solid experience within manufacturing and production supervision as well as the following qualifications and experiences:A strong background in production/manufacturing with 5 to 7 years experiencePreferred 4 year degree plus additional specialized training with a plastics/engineering background or equivalent experience.Strong knowledge of machine mechanics and processes, process optimization, quality, inspection methods and standardsThe flow of work and duties performed require above average mental and visual attentionThe ability to operate a personal computer, various software programs, and other office equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsProficiency in Excel and data analysis toolsTo be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:Professional demeanor whether in person, via email, or on the telephoneTeam player comfortable in working up, down and across an organizationInnovative thinker with both successes and defendable failures in product/technology developmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to work well independently and as part of a strong teamAble and willing to contribute to multifunctional teams as the expert in sanitation solutionsStrong proficiency with MS Office programs including: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint; and, the ability to learn other applications quickly.Dometic's Core ValuesTo thrive and succeed in this role, you understand the importance of our core values – Together We Build Our Future, We Play to Win, We Embrace Change and We Walk the Talk; these values reflect the heart and soul of Dometic and they define what it takes to work here and how we do things.Are you our next star?
