Production SupervisorWe are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while leading and developing a high-performing production team.ResponsibilitiesEnsure production metrics align with customer expectations (quality, cost, delivery, people)Establish and monitor KPIs such as PPM, productivity (PPH), efficiency (OEE/TRS), absenteeism, and safety incidentsManage staffing levels and resources to meet production demandsMonitor shift performance and report results dailyRespond to production issues with immediate containment and corrective actionsLead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (5S, TPM, SMED, Kaizen, problem-solving groups)Drive implementation of improvement ideas and track resultsConduct audits to ensure adherence to standardized work processesMaintain and update daily KPI tracking systemsTeam Leadership & People ManagementMaintain a strong presence on the production floor and provide hands-on leadershipPlan daily and weekly workforce scheduling and manage timekeepingCoach and develop team members, including team leads and operatorsSupport hiring, onboarding, and training of new employeesBuild and execute training plans to improve team capability and flexibilityEnforce company policies, safety standards, and workplace disciplineRecognize and support employee performance and developmentEnsure clear and consistent communication across all levels of the teamHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE)Promote and enforce a strong safety cultureStop production when safety risks are identifiedLead safety initiatives and support continuous improvement in workplace conditionsEnsure compliance with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulationsCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve operationsParticipate in daily production meetings and report key updatesEnsure smooth shift transitions and communication between teamsAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport cost reduction and operational efficiency initiativesShare best practices and continuous improvement ideasPerform other duties as assignedQualifications2–3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environmentMinimum 2+ years of hands-on production experience (plastics or similar industry preferred)Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (5S, TPM, Kaizen, etc.)Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance improvementsExperience with production KPIs and reportingStrong communication and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and production systemsEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
