Production Supervisor- Ripon

Production SupervisorA long-established food manufacturing operation needs a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily production, protect food and employee safety, and keep output, quality, cost, and staffing priorities aligned through normal operations and a demanding seasonal harvest.The strongest candidate has led hourly teams in food, beverage, packaging, canning, dairy, or another high-speed regulated manufacturing environment. This individual must be comfortable making real-time decisions when equipment, labor, quality, or crop flow changes the production plan.Location: Ripon, WisconsinSchedule: Outside harvest, the primary schedule is first shift, typically 4x10-hour days. During harvest from July through October, supervisors must be flexible to rotate between 5:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

and 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m. crew assignments IF NEEDED. Harvest includes one scheduled day off weekly and may require extended hours or schedule changes based on crop flow and weather.Work Setting: OnsiteRole Type: Direct hire, full-timeOpenings: 1 anticipated openingCompensation: $70-$85K/yearBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disability coverage401(k) retirement planPaid time off and additional employer benefitsEmployer-supported technical training and certification opportunitiesResponsibilitiesLead production employees and processes so products meet quality, food-safety, output, and specification requirements.Build and execute daily production plans, schedules, and assignments.Monitor production costs, downtime, staffing, and operating priorities.Complete production, quality, safety, incident, and shift records accurately.Coordinate with quality, maintenance, sanitation, warehouse, and plant leadership.Make timely decisions involving product quality, staffing, employee concerns, and equipment interruptions.Train, coach, evaluate, and develop employees.Reinforce GMPs, sanitation, food safety, employee safety, and company policies.Support sanitation readiness, production supplies, budget inputs, and adjacent management coverage.QualificationsApproximately 3–5 years of frontline manufacturing leadership experience.Two or more years of relevant food-manufacturing experience or training; a related degree may substitute for part of the experience.Experience leading hourly employees, assigning work, coaching performance, and managing changing production conditions.Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, sanitation, safety, and production documentation.Strong organization, communication, decision-making, and cross-functional coordination skills.Willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and rotating harvest assignments.Preferred QualificationsCanning, thermal processing, container closure, high-speed packaging, or seasonal food-production experience.Knowledge of FDA, USDA, OSHA, AIB, HACCP, SQF, or BRCGS requirements.Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing, Container Closure, or related training.Experience with production metrics, CMMS work orders, incident reports, shift recaps, or continuous improvement.
