Production SupervisorAscentec Engineering is hiring a Production Supervisor who will plan, direct, coordinate and lead day-to-day functions for the team in order to properly deploy resources in alignment with meeting the company goals and objectives. Additionally, this supervisor will work cross-functionally with other departments, including, but not limited to: quality, materials, packaging & shipping, engineering, human resources, etc., to ensure that the daily needs of manufacturing are met.This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.Job ResponsibilitiesHelps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job resultsAble to overcome complex problems immediately to facilitate customer scheduling needs, then assist in determining a root cause, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrencesEnforces company policies and guidelinesRecruits, hires, and trains employeesAssists workers by offering personal growth opportunitiesImplements cost-saving strategies and techniquesEnsures that production plans are completed by a certain timeContacts appropriate sources for repair issuesCounsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflowResolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employeesCreates and maintains professional schedulesCommunicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as neededEvaluates the condition of production equipmentMaintains a clean and safe environment for all workersCompiles and analyzes production recordsProduction Supervisor Skills and QualificationsAssociate Degree in Business Management or Engineering and 3+ years previous supervisory experience (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (required); Advanced Excel experience (preferred)Excellent coaching and communication skillsAbility to track expenses and compile budget reportsBroad knowledge of production planning processesStrategic planning skillsExperience working in a CNC Machining Environment (required)Understanding of CNC machine controls and instrumentationAble to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced settingWorking ConditionsWorks in a machine shop environment.May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.Must adhere to company safety policiesThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship.
