Discover more about Novolex, our 20,000+ family members and our commitment to innovation and sustainability.ResponsibilitiesThis position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.This position covers the night shift (7 pm - 7 am) and has a 2 day on / 2 day off schedule as well as every other weekend on.Job Duties:Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining qualityTypically supervises 90 plus employeesCoordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achievedCarry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employeesPlanning, assigning & directing workAppraising performanceRewarding & disciplining employeesAddressing complaints & resolving problemsEnsure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basisSupport & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goalsEnsures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessaryDaily time and attendance completionCommunicates regularly to manager per escalation plan requirementsQualificationsJob Qualifications:BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)2+ years of manufacturing experienceDirect supervisory experience highly preferredStrong verbal & interpersonal communication skillsProven ability to work well in group situationsProven ability to de-escalate situations as neededAbility to deal effectively with conflict in a mature & consistent mannerGood computer skillsSAP experience preferredPactiv Evergreen is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
