Production SupervisorOur client located in Middlefield, OH is searching for a Production Supervisor on 2nd and 3rd shift! This is a direct hire! Reports to: Production ManagerJob Summary: Manages direct and indirect labor employees on their shift.
Responsible for ensuring acceptable efficiency, quality, labor use, and safety, and paperwork.Primary Functions:Comply with all policies and procedures in the quality manual, employee handbook, and safety manual.Monitor and support direct and indirect labor personnel including new employee training.Enforce disciplinary action, as necessary.Maintain efficiency, quality, safety, scrap, and direct labor usage goals. Coach poor performers for improvement.Daily assignment of employees to production jobs.Responsible for ensuring all subordinates follow work instructions and methods.Perform process troubleshooting (including temperature checks) as required and obtain engineering support when necessary. Immediately communicate process problems and safety issues to Production Manager and Engineering.Daily processing of production paperwork as required.
Responsible for accuracy of employee daily paperwork.Communicate necessary information between shifts and departments.Ensure employees follow proper methods and procedures.Must have 3-5 years of supervisory experience as well as experience with injection molding and rubber.Direct Reports:Press OperatorsFinishing OperatorsComponent Prep OperatorMaterial Prep OperatorPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. from the floor.Must be able to drive lift truck.Must be able to perform job while standing or walking.Notes:Employee must follow any other reasonable instructions provided by their supervisor as this job description may not be all-inclusive.Employee must function in the best interest of the organization to promote an effective team-oriented environment.Overtime for the Production Supervisor position is mandatory.
