Production SupervisorGeorgia-Pacific is hiring a Production Supervisor for our plywood mill in Madison, GA. The production supervisor is responsible for leading a wood products production team to work free/injury-free/incident in a continuous manufacturing environment consistent with management philosophy and framework.The Madison facility produces building-product panels used in residential and light commercial construction. You will lead a team of 20 to 30 members.Supervise/coordinate production efforts that drive improvement in all associated work processes affected EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costsFacilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolutionDrive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazardsMonitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiencyAssist with troubleshooting and solving production issuesWork in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy and non-climate-controlled areasWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Three (3) or more years of leadership experienceWilling and able to work any assigned shift schedule, which may include day, night, weekend and holiday work hoursExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PC-based production reporting systems applicationsWhat Will Put You AheadAssociate's degree or trade school/technical school diploma with a preference in a technical or business discipline.Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing or military environment.Supervisory experience in the wood products industry.Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and/or Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
