You'll guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.
In our fast-paced environment, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.Key Responsibilities:Promote safety-first culture that fosters an injury free workplace.Monitor and leads the productionWork directly with Production manager to manage daily production numbersFollow and enforces established safety rules and regulationsFollow all SOP's and Work Instructions and communicates improvements and changes as requiredRespond to emergencies and notify management immediatelyMonitors that goods are produced efficiently and to the correct quality standardTrain/assist production employees on all SOP's (filling, packing, change over, sanitation etc.)Promote, motivate, and provides mentoring and guidance to employeesContinuously looking for efficiencies and safety improvement(s)Follows and enforces GMP guidelinesWorks directly with maintenance to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.Excellent communication skills (leads 1st shift tier meeting, communicates daily production targets)Must have SAP production knowledgeMust be available for overtime when requiredOther specific duties as requested by managementQualifications:Time and process managementProcess improvementEfficiencyQuality controlSafety-focusTeam management and coachingDecision makingProduction planningAttention to detailCommunicationEducation and Experience:Bilingual in English/Spanish preferredHigh school diploma, BS in engineering a plus2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environmentSAPPrior supervisory experienceOSHA Safety certification, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), and Certified Manufacturing Specialist (CMS) a plusPLZ Corp offers a robust suite of benefits including: Medical, Dental & Vision benefits.
