Production Supervisor

Production SupervisorWe are seeking a dynamic Production Supervisor who excels in leading manufacturing-floor operations. The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable spending most of their day on the production floor, demonstrating strong leadership skills, ensuring safety, and driving efficiency through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).ResponsibilitiesLead multiple production areas, lines, or shifts with a focus on safety and efficiency.Identify hazards, correct unsafe behavior, conduct safety observations, and hold employees accountable.Manage and analyze KPIs including OEE, downtime, scrap, schedule attainment, labor efficiency, overtime, quality, and throughput.Run a structured daily operating rhythm with DDS meetings, hour-by-hour production tracking, shift handoffs, action lists, and follow-up.Collaborate with Maintenance to address chronic equipment failures, prioritize downtime, and improve operator equipment care.Execute a locked production schedule, manage staffing against the schedule, and respond to equipment or manpower changes.Manage Team Leads/Supervisors and hourly employees, handling coaching, discipline, attendance, performance, and difficult conversations.Develop operator capability and cross-training programs to ensure a well-rounded team.Own the quality process, focusing on scrap reduction, process control, specification issues, containment, and corrective actions.Solve problems hands-on by understanding constraints, assigning actions, establishing recovery timing, and following through.Communicate effectively with various departments including Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Safety, HR, and hourly employees.Essential SkillsStrong manufacturing-floor leadership experience.Proven ability to manage and analyze KPIs.Experience with structured daily operating rhythms.Collaborative mindset for equipment reliability.Understanding of production planning and schedule execution.Effective people management skills.Capability in training and developing operators.Ownership of quality processes.Hands-on problem-solving ability.Strong communication skills with various departments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.Background in production management and supervision.Superintendent and operational experience.Why Work Here?Join a team that values leadership, continuous improvement, and innovation.
