In your role, you will plan, organize and control production within the Fabrication department to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to quality standards.Shifts available: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pmA variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:2 Year Technical or Trade School diploma or certification, or equivalent work experience required4 years minimum related experience in the Fabrication field strongly preferredan understanding of plastics and plastics fabrication (required)On top of that you must:conform to shifting priorities demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilitiesprioritize coordinate and manage work in a fast paced environmentdisplay high levels of customer service responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organizationshow professional knowledge proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting company standardsbe able to identify, evaluate, problem solve and give direction regarding problem resolution for individual and team issuesIn this position, you will:effectively communicate internally and externally to ensure production schedule aligns with customer needsimplement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectivesanalyze production and quality control to detect and correct problemshandle the implementation and execution of training programs for new hiresparticipate in performance management along with manager to provide coaching and feedback as neededmonitor and review the performance of staffperform 1 on 1 training and set goals for improvementmaintain appropriate levels of temp laborissue fabrication related stock items and order as necessaryPromotes continuous improvementensure compliance with workplace safety programsperform necessary inventory system and HRIS functionsperform duties in other areas of the acrylics shop as neededdrive improvements in material flow, including cell design and material delivery Interact with other support departments as requiredperforms miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by managementTo get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be:able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
