When we provide you with the highest level of quality and consistency for your products, it allows you to always provide your customers with the brand they have learned to trust.The Production Supervisor leads a shift of production staff and is responsible for meeting daily output goals for both the volume and the quality of bulk gummies produced. The Supervisor allocates people and equipment to maximize efficiency and holds the team to cGMP, food safety, and workplace safety standards. The Supervisor also steps in to cover key roles during call-outs.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the shift meets production targets for volume, quality, yield, and efficiency, including OEE, downtime, and wasteVerify that batch records are accurate, complete, and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP/ALCOA+) before they leave the areaConfirm that cart tags are properly completed and attached to all bulk gummy cartsEnsure line clearances are performed and documented before and after each batchEnsure in-process checks are completed and documented on timeConfirm the right number of batches are weighed, verified, and staged before the shift startsReport critical product defects or deviations to QA immediately, and support investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Compliance and SafetyEnforce cGMP requirements, such as 21 CFR Part 111 for dietary supplements or Part 117 for food, as they apply to our productsEnforce allergen control, sanitation, and food safety programs (HACCP/SQF/BRCGS as applicable)Ensure all personnel wear the required PPE and follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagoutKeep the work area clean, orderly, and audit-ready at all timesParticipate in internal, customer, and regulatory auditsEquipment and SystemsKeep equipment logs up to dateEnsure equipment is maintained according to preventive maintenance (PM) and sanitation schedulesReport equipment problems immediately to Maintenance and to the Production ManagerEnter and verify production, inventory, and labor data in NetSuite ERP accurately and on timeBuild and adjust shift schedules to meet production plans and staffing needsPeople LeadershipManage, assign, and report on attendance, punctuality, and performance for hourly and temporary staffTrain and develop team members, and document training and proficiency progressCoach employees, give feedback, and handle disciplinary issues in partnership with HRLead shift-start meetings and communicate clearly at shift handoffsPromote continuous improvement using Lean, 5S/6S, and root cause analysisReportingReport daily production output, efficiency, downtime, and staffing levelsTrack shift KPIs and recommend improvementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAt least 5 years of experience in food, confectionery, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical manufacturingAt least 3 years of supervisory experience in a production environmentWorking knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and food safety requirementsExperience with batch records, line clearances, and in-process quality checksProficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in food science, manufacturing, operations management, or a related fieldGummy, confectionery, or depositing line experience, such as starch mogul or starchless depositingHACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner certificationOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training (Yellow or Green Belt)Bilingual (English/Spanish)Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentStand and walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbsWork in a production environment with heat, noise, and allergensWear required PPE, including hairnets, gloves, smocks, and safety glassesBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance (employees premiums are 100% covered by the company, dependents premium costs not included)3 weeks PTO with ability to earn more each yearFriendly and welcoming environment
