Production Supervisor (Bilingual)Reports To: Sr. Production and Maintenance ManagerFLSA Status: SalariedJob SummaryPosition OverviewThe Blanking Line Team Supervisor is a hands-on, hybrid role responsible for overseeing a small production team (under 10 operators) while maintaining equipment efficiency. This position balances daily shift supervision, heavy material handling, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate ensures continuous line flow, minimizes downtime, and serves as the primary technical liaison with our overseas engineering teams.Bridging the Bilingual Communication Gap: Real-time troubleshooting often requires remote system access and direct technical coordination with equipment manufacturers and HQ in Korea. A bilingual professional is essential to minimize technical translation delays.Key Responsibilities1. Line Supervision & Personnel ManagementLead and manage daily tasks, attendance, and shift assignments for a team of fewer than 10 operators.Enforce strict compliance with OSHA safety protocols, particularly regarding heavy steel coil and sheet metal handling.Serve as a cross-trained frontline operator to cover labor gaps and maintain production balance when necessary.2.

Equipment Maintenance & Technical LiaisonPerform reactive repairs, preventive maintenance (PM), and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting on the blanking line equipment.Conduct root-cause analysis on equipment failures, execute component replacements, and manage shift spare parts inventory.Facilitate remote-access technical support, software updates, and system troubleshooting in coordination with equipment manufacturers and HQ in Korea.3. Material Handling & OperationsOperate (or obtain certification to operate) heavy material handling equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts, to safely load heavy steel coils and transport finished blanks.Monitor and log daily production metrics, downtime records, and material inventory levels.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Minimum 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with steel processing, stamping, or blanking lines is highly preferred).Technical Skills: Solid foundational knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems; ability to diagnose machinery errors efficiently.Certifications: Ability to operate or willingness to be certified in Overhead Crane and Forklift operations under OSHA standards.Language: Bilingual fluency in English and Korean is required to handle technical systems and remote communication with engineering teams in Korea.Leadership: Proven ability to direct, motivate, and maintain accountability within a compact, fast-paced team environment.
