The Production Supervisor will be responsible for working in our Manufacturing department. This position will report to the Director of Manufacturing and will be based in our plant in Belleville, MI. Compensation dependent upon qualifications.Primary Responsibilities:Ensure operator work assignments are fully completed on timeImplement production plans and assist with schedulingImprove processes and/or functioning of equipmentAssist with experimental projects during model changesMonitor machinery and equipment to ensure optimal productionEffectively communicate necessary information to team membersEliminate waste through safety, quality, and production improvement initiativesMonitor quality documentation at each specific operation, insuring that all applicable checks are performed and documented as requiredParticipate in corrective action activitiesPerform training, team meetings, "stand downs" with supervision, employees, and bargaining unit employeesComplete daily production reporting activitiesTrack and log time and attendance records for bargaining unit employeesSpecial projects as assignedPreferred Skills:Bachelor Degree preferredThree (3) to five (5) years experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably automotiveAbility to work independently, effectively manage time, multi-task, and implement problem solving skillsAbility to lead and motivate othersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood technical and interpersonal skills for interfacing with customers.Neapco recognizes that our team members are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to providing them with a safe, drug-free workplace fostering respect and ethical treatment.
