If you share our passion for beautiful cars, thrive on details, and want to be part of something extraordinary, this is your chance.Why You'll Love This Role:The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing an assigned production team in a manner that demonstrates, "Everything is Important."This is a dynamic position that requires the ability to manage a production schedule while driving improvements in all areas with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.Part of your role is to harbor a safe and welcoming team environment with clear goals and expectations.You are expected to set an example with your attitude, attention to detail, listening, mentoring, and communication.What You'll Do:Ensure all team members are trained in operational procedures and that the team works efficiently and effectively to meet established goalsMonitor the individual performance and behavior of assigned team members to ensure adherence with Company/departmental policies, processes, and proceduresUse metrics and make recommendations to managers on ways to drive continuous improvement activities in safety, quality, delivery, and costServe as a role model and facilitates effective communication throughout the teamEvaluate the work of assigned staff, provide feedback, and coaches and disciplines employees as needed to be sure that their performance meets job expectationsWork with the Production Manager to prioritize staffing/resource assignments ensuring capacity for equipment and labor is planned and available to meet demandCommunicate approved schedules to team members, approve vacation requests (so that production needs are met), and approve timecards in a timely manner to assure that submitted time is accurateCoordinate and agree on weekly goals with management in alignment with business demands ensuring all areas of responsibility to be delivered on expectations; follow up directly with production manager when there are plan deviations/delaysProvide technical expertise for complex issues and ensures effective and efficient production flowAccurately report end of day production status for each vehicle build and associated partsEnsure that the workplace is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivity (5S activities)Ensure that work materials and tools are present when needed and communicate with relevant parties on re-stocking in advance of shortage to reduce delays in productionEvaluate, maintain, and coordinate equipment to uphold a safe environment and ensures consistent "right first time" quality of product; immediately reports problems or concerns regarding quality, processes, equipment and/or materialsWork closely with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve processes and resolve issuesSupport other functions and departments as required based on operational needWho We're Looking For:High school diploma or equivalentAt least five (5) years of related work experience in an automotive, composite, and/or assembly environmentBonus points for three (3) or more years of management experience in a production environmentBonus points for technical automotive program graduate or equivalentSolid technical background with hands-on experience in an automotive production and/or restoration environmentSkilled experience reading and interpreting part and assembly drawings, BOMs, etc.Experience with making, restoring, and/or creating custom automotive partsExperience with reading work/manufacturing ordersExperience in reading production schedulesBasic understanding of Lean Principles, 5S organization principlesExperience with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlinesHighly motivated with strong work ethic that works well independentlyPossess strong written and verbal communication skills and can effectively communicate with other teams and departmentsStrong competency to independently apply technical judgement, troubleshoot, and solve a wide range of technical problemsAble to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectivelyPossesses leadership skillsAble to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environmentWhat We Offer - Benefits Driven by You:The starting pay range for this position is between $89,953.00 - $108,691.00 annual salary, plus bonus.
