Production Supervisor (5PM – 5AM)Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. You can find our product in most grocery stores and major league baseball stadiums.

We distribute under the Hampton Farms brand and are also a leading private label manufacturer.Job PurposeThe Production Supervisor of Hampton Farms is involved in the manufacture of food products intended for the consumer. This person provides a critical position in Hampton Farms' food quality and safety for producing our peanut products. The Supervisor is aware of the risks involved with regard to maintaining Hampton Farms' quality standards, proper packaging, proper labeling, proper inspection of all receiving and shipments, and all correct and accurate documentation.

The Supervisor is trained in various areas pertaining to the job required. Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearResponsibilitiesMonitor products that are running during each shiftSign and verify all products with quality supervisor and/or managerMonitor paperwork by Operators (quality documents, metal detector sheets, roasting peanuts report, and weight check sheets)Monitor incoming products such as raw peanuts, packaging materials, and ingredientsHelp Quality Manager and Supervisor monitor HACCP, SQF requirements, operating proceduresFood Safety Sanitation.Determine if a product needs to be put on hold – document when a product goes on hold or if a product is reworked.Help with internal audits (SQF, Food Defense, Chemical Audits, GMP audits)Occasionally provide and coordinate plant tours with customers and/or visitorsMaintain awareness of warehouse programs (shipping, receiving, and storage)Assist QA manager when requested toUnderstands and adheres to GMP policy and all quality policies and proceduresPerform any other duties that are asked of them by the managers (Even if the task does not pertain to their position).Open and flexible to occasional fluctuating/flexing hours based on business need and customer order shipment schedulingCommitted to delivering the best possible experience to our customers and employees in support of our mission, vision, and valuesSupervisorySupervise assigned shift employees to ensure all operations of the plant run smoothlyHandle any employee issues, discrepancies, or misconduct among employees on your shiftMonitor attendance of each employee on your shift to adhere to the Attendance & Point System Policy (Work with the administrative supervisor in entering points for each employee based on tardiness, too early, call-ins, etc.)Issue reprimands to employees when needed by holding employees accountable for mistakes and not adhering to the company or plant policiesMay be asked to assist in interviewing potential new hiresSanitationMaintain visual pre-operational sanitation inspections prior to beginning of the day's production after clean break to ensure food safetyFollow sanitation schedule for weekends and/or any other scheduled timesClean work area and prepare for next shiftSafetyActively comply and ensure employee compliance with all company policies and proceduresEngage with other employees in setting high safety awareness standardsInclude safety emphasis in all employee meetingsWear proper PPE at all timesRequired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to work well independently and collaborativelyAbility to clearly present recommendations/ideas and summarize issuesAbility to appropriately handle confidential materialAbility to participate in Food and Safety audits if neededGMP Training (new hire and annual)SOP's for Receiving Program, Shipping Program, and Storage Program (packing supplies, inventory control, stock rotation, raw materials, and finished product)General knowledge of SSOP's for all quality assurance areas and pieces of productionPlant inspection program and pre-operational inspection programsKnowledge of HACCP, SQF Edition 7.2 requirementsData entry skills to produce reports, build files, label printing, trend analysis and trend analysis reportsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED); requiredExperience with food manufacturing principles and implementation; desired3-5 years' production manufacturing experience; desiredCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsAbility to receive certification or Food Safety & Sanitation coursesAbility to receive certification of HACCP & advanced HACCP coursesAbility to complete courses for SQF practitionerMeasures for Success100% correct orders – orders fulfilled accurately and timelyDaily production goals achieved based on customer's specs and ordersWeekly poundage goals achieved based on customer ordersWorked with team members maintaining daily sanitation by cleaning work area at the end of shiftWork EnvironmentCombination of manufacturing environment along with duties that will require employee to work in a production/plant environment where physical hazards such as industrial equipment and forklifts may be present.Job Physical DemandsContinuous standing in one location for long periods (2-3 hours before break)Lifting: Intermediate lifting up to 55 lbs. for up to half your shift (up to 4 hours)Climbing: ladders, stairs, etc.
