Finlays Solutions operates with a strong commitment to its mission, values, ethics, and long-term goals, ensuring that every initiative reflects the company's dedication to integrity, partnership, and sustainable success.Job Summary: Oversee daily manufacturing operations on the floor, manage the team, coordinate and follow production schedules, enforce safety protocols always ensure quality of the products maximize output efficiency, minimize waste and meet safety quality and productivity targets.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Understand production schedulesTroubleshoot problemsSubmit maintenance request when neededReview production packetsCommunicate any issues to manager as they occurredAdhering to company policies and proceduresEnsure proper training has been given to all employeesAll raw materials returns are completed by end of the shiftGeneral housekeeping, removal of trash, and clean work are maintained throughout the shiftEnter downtime data into the system dailyStart batch order(s) in the system dailyPerform daily GEMBA walksBe able to make decision to ensuring Safety, Quality and EfficiencyOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsFollow Finlay's Core valuesResponsible for consistently maintaining safe quality food products by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirementsResponsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to managementResponsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areasEnsure all safety work practices are adhered toExhibit an understanding of quality standards and ability to speak to Finlays quality systemsQualifications & Requirements:Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and writtenMust be a team player, flexible and have good time management skillsMust be quality conscious and detail orientedMust be able to work overtime or start earlier hours and weekends as neededMechanically inclined and understand the production processHigh school graduate or GEDPhysical Demands:Willingness to work additional hours, and tailor schedule appropriately, to support team goals and meet deadlinesMust possess adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills to meet essential job performance and safety standardsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and using hands for detailed tasksWork environment sometimes involves exposure to inclement weatherPhysically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools, including pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipmentCapable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day; ability to handle heavier items with proper lifting equipment or team-assisted techniques to ensure safetyEmployees must be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise levels, and fluctuations in temperature and ventilationAppropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, which may include but is not limited to: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields, as required by specific job duties and safety protocolsQuality Statement:Our Quality and Food Safety Management strategy is anchored by our food safety and quality culture and a two-pronged approach to "be the best" as we produce "only the best".
