Supervisor PositionSupervisors oversee the manufacturing process by leading staff and production processes to ensure the production of quality product in an efficient and safe manner.Essential FunctionsMaintains staff by assisting in the screening, interviewing and selection of production employeesCommunicates job expectations, company mission statement, and manufacturing goals to employees upon hireEnsures new hires receive training on established policies and proceduresCoaches, counsels, and disciplines employees to adhere to system policies and proceduresBuilds rapport with team members and provides both formal and informal feedbackResolves personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actionTracks and maintains quality issues involving trailersReports on manufacturing performance by looking at key performance dataMaintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process, personnel, and equipmentCreates weekly production schedules and revise such schedules as neededCreates, revises and implements systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, budgets and personnel requirementsFollows up with systems and procedures to ensure adherenceCreates corrective action from route-cause analysis as needed if team members fail to comply to proceduresMaintains a clean and safe work environmentMaintains professional and technical knowledgeTracks absenteeism and timekeepingAssists in other areas as needed and perform other duties as assignedQualifications and RequirementsBachelor's degree preferred but not required OR experience in the management fieldStrong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and VisualExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalManagerial and leadership skillsHighly motivated
