Production Supervisor – 2nd ShiftThis is a 100% onsite role. Position: Direct Hire – Onsite Location: South Windsor, CT 06074 Shift: Monday – Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM Industry: Production / Warehouse / Mail Operations Category: Operations / Manufacturing / LeadershipWe are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead second-shift operations at a client production facility in South Windsor, CT. This is a hands-on leadership role with strong visibility across the business and growth potential.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met in a cost-efficient manner while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role leads all aspects of labor management on the production floor, prioritizes client mailings, supervises production lines, and coordinates resources across departments to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.What We Are Looking ForStrong leadership presence on the production floor Ability to manage labor, prioritize workloads, and meet strict deadlines Experience improving workflows and reducing downtime Ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members Strong operational mindset with attention to cost per unit and efficiency Clear, professional communication with staff and managementKey ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Management Receive materials into the warehouse and distribute to the production floorSign off on all jobs, including material, media, and indicia verificationSupervise production lines and ensure machines are running correct jobsPrioritize Must-Mail and hot jobs to meet all deadlines and SLAsPull and coordinate jobs from supporting areas (Print Room, Forms, Inkjet, Scheduling)Team Leadership & Development Supervise approximately 15–25 associatesEnsure all operators receive proper technical, quality, and ISO trainingCross-train associates across production operationsMentor, counsel, and provide performance feedback to staffConduct performance appraisals and support career developmentPlanning, Coordination & Efficiency Coordinate labor and resources across departmentsProvide warehouse staff with lead times to meet material needsMaintain accurate inventory countsWork with outside vendors to support sorting and labor forecastingIdentify and communicate process improvementsQuality & Safety Ensure all safety standards are met and adhered toMaintain high-quality production standardsEnsure compliance with company and industry requirementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent 3–5 years of warehouse or production experience 3–5 years of supervisory experience Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume environment Strong oral and written communication skills Computer proficiency (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word)
