This role champions continuous improvement, builds high-performance teams, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and lean manufacturing.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide daily leadership and direction to manufacturing team members in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.Champion and lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Implement and sustain 6S and safety programs to maintain a clean and safe work environmentCoordinate work assignments and monitor team performanceAct as a coach and mentor for production staff, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production schedules, quality targets, and customer requirements are metComplete administrative tasks in the MRP/ERP system, including scheduling, job tracking, and data validationEnsure production metrics are accurate, visible, and used to drive improvementDevelop and train team leads in production processes, performance metrics, and system usagePromote and model company values, culture, and safety expectationsRecommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment utilization, and product qualityWork collaboratively with other supervisors and departments to ensure operational alignmentParticipate in Lean activities and support a culture of continuous improvementPerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervise manufacturing personnelResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with company policies and labor regulationsQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing preferredAt least 3 years of supervisory experience requiredInternal candidates must have a minimum of 2 years in a Lead roleSKILLS & ABILITIESStrong leadership, coaching, and team-building skillsSolid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principlesAbility to read and interpret manufacturing documentation and quality standardsWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., job tracking, scheduling, validation)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic math proficiency and ability to interpret performance metricsAbility to analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvementLANGUAGE & COMMUNICATIONMust be able to read, speak, and understand EnglishStrong communication skills across all levels of the organizationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequent standing, walking, sitting, and manual handlingMust be able to lift/move up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 30 lbs occasionallyVision requirements: close/distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustmentMILWAUKEE ELECTRONICS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or age.
