Production Supervisor2nd Shift production supervisor involves hands-on / shop floor activity leading the operation of our packing lines, paint lines, rivet operations, hydraulic press and roll-former operations, and robotic steel welding cells. This role requires a leader with self-initiative and who demonstrates strong attention to detail. This position is in our Chicago (South Loop) manufacturing location The position is 2nd Shift Mon-Thurs (10 hours/Day) 4:30 p.m.– 3:00 a.m.Qualifications3 yrs production supervisor experience, managing large teams3 yrs manufacturing experience, steel industry preferredHS diploma or equivalentExceptional problem-solving and analytical skillsProven ability to communicate information, expectations and feedback in both written and verbal mediumsProven leadership in one or more of the following areas; steel punching, roll forming, welding, dip and powder paint lines, automated and manual packing line environments.Assist with production inspection process for all operationsExperience maintaining safety standards of equipment and work areaIntermediate PC SkillsUnderstanding of ERP systems a plusPhysical/Mental DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
