The Production Scheduler is responsible to manage the production demand through manufacturing from establishing customer commitment date to order fulfillment. The Production Scheduler will be directly responsible for all planning and scheduling activities on a daily basis.


The primary goal of this position is to create a production schedule for every production line and to improve the overall material flow and to ensure on-time delivery to the customer (internal and external) while improving communication and implementing continuous improvement activities.

What you will work on:

  • Perform planning for assigned products to optimize inventory and meet production goals.
  • Analyze and review short and long term capacity planning.
  • Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules; alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions with the approval of the direct supervisor.
  • Prepare reports and create work orders.
  • Plan sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
  • Plan, monitor, and facilitate repairs to system problems.


What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus or specialization in Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • At least five (5) years previous production planning and logistics experience.
  • ERP/planning software.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work in teams.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of automotive and metal industry processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Shipping and Receiving processes and procedures strongly preferred.
