Here, you will make an impact by:Planning production schedules for assigned work centers and associated Subcon Locations to meet customer requirements while maximizing work center operational efficiencyUtilizing SAP (MRP) to make data driven production scheduling, capacity management, and procurement decisionsProcuring materials and communicating with suppliers on future requirements to ensure the production plan is metExhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Business Supply Chain, Quality, Supply Planning, and Demand Planning teams, as well as active participation in the Tier processPartnering with business teams to understand customer requirements and forecasts.

Working closely with the manufacturing team, value stream leadership, and Supply Planners to prioritize and resolve supply constraints to balance service, inventory, and cost to meet business targetsOwning planning-related performance metrics including On-Time, In-Full shipments (OTIF), backlog, and production plan attainment for assigned work centers and managing to meet targetsManaging assigned working and non-working inventories to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targetsExecuting production planning standard work with supply chain tools, IT systems, and processesActively managing parameters including optimizing and maintaining production lot sizes, production cycles, and safety stocks to deliver the desired balance between service and inventoryIdentifying, leading, and participating in Continuous Improvement projects that increase customer service, inventory investment, product flow, and supply chain efficiencyYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionTwo (2) years of combined experience in production planning, supply chain, logistics and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of combined experience in production planning, supply chain, logistics and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environmentExperience in Production PlanningProfessional certifications including ASCM (APICS) CPIM or CSCPKnowledge of Supply Planning (SP), Demand Planning (DP), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes3M systems experience (COMS, Fiori, Peoplesoft, SAP)Advanced Microsoft Office suite skillsStrong data mining, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivation skillsExperience working on cross-functional teamsExperience utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement methodologiesWork location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Rockland, MATravel: May include up to 5% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. To ensure competitive pay and benefits, 3M regularly benchmarks with other companies that are comparable in size and scope.The expected compensation range for this position is $84,595 - $103,394, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
