Production Planner

Help build the production operations behind advanced defense technology

ALAC HR Solutions is recruiting a Production Planner for a growing defense manufacturer in Stafford, VA.

We're looking for an Industrial Engineer with hands-on assembly-line production planning experience who can manage schedules, anticipate material shortages, and use data to keep manufacturing operations running efficiently.

What you'll be responsible for

• Production planning: Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand, inventory, and manufacturing capacity
• Material readiness: Identify shortages, monitor material availability, and work with Procurement and Production to prevent disruptions
• ERP and MRP: Create and maintain manufacturing work orders, bills of materials, routing information, and planning parameters
• Data analysis: Build Excel analyses, dashboards, and reports to monitor capacity, inventory, and production performance
• Production execution: Track work orders, schedule attainment, material consumption, and manufacturing progress

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
• At least 2 years of production planning, MRP, and scheduling experience in an assembly-line manufacturing environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, and data analysis
• Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing planning processes
• Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills

Preferred experience

• Aerospace, defense, electronics, or another regulated manufacturing industry
• Microsoft Business Central
• Power BI and production performance dashboards
