Position: Production Planner

Location: Glendale, KY

Length: 12 month contract to hire

Rate: $85,000-$110,000/yr

About the Opportunity

Insight Global is seeking SAP MP&L Launch Engineers to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in materials planning, production control, inventory management, supply chain operations, logistics, or manufacturing systems.

You will play a key role in ensuring materials, inventory, and production processes are ready for a successful SAP deployment and manufacturing launch. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with operations, production teams, supply chain leaders, and SAP implementation teams during a major business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Support material planning and MRP execution activities
• Monitor material availability and resolve shortages
• Validate inventory accuracy across manufacturing and warehouse operations
• Review and maintain master data including materials, BOMs, routings, and planning parameters
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Assist with production control and launch readiness initiatives
• Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams
• Investigate planning and inventory discrepancies
• Support implementation and transition activities related to SAP S/4HANA
• Ensure manufacturing operations are prepared for go-live activities

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, production planning, or related environments
• Experience working with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or similar MRP/ERP systems
• Understanding of material planning, inventory control, and supply chain fundamentals
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, testing activities, or business process improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally within manufacturing operations
