Schedule: Rotating 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule
Day Shift: 6:45 AM-7:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:45 PM-7:00 AM
Job responsibilities:
* Operate, monitor, adjust, start and shut down recycling equipment.
* Operate pulverizers, extrusion, melt-blending and pelletizing equipment.
* Process, batch and stage plastic materials according to specifications.
* Monitor product quality and make necessary equipment adjustments.
* Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
* Operate forklifts, skid steers and other material-handling equipment.
* Complete production, quality and equipment documentation.
* Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Assist with training less-experienced operators.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Previous manufacturing, machine-operation or production experience.
* At least one year of extrusion experience; plastics experience is preferred.
* Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
* Forklift or skid-steer experience is preferred.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand and walk throughout a 12-hour shift.
* Comfortable working around industrial machinery and varying temperatures.
* Basic computer and documentation skills.
