Production OperatorThe Production Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and packaging of panels in accordance with quality standards, production schedules, and company procedures. This role operates production equipment, performs routine quality checks, maintains a clean and organized work area, and collaborates with team members to ensure production goals are achieved. automatic operationsCare and cleaning of equipmentEquipment adjustments to correct product defectsPackaging standardsProper wrap tensionProper EPS sticker placementBundle labelingCombi lift operationsUse of tape measure, calipers, other measuring devicesMath using US standard and metric systemInventory procedures.Effectively communicate with other stations.Continually monitor the product throughout the production run and ensure Quality and Product Compliance Requirements are met.Notify QC and Foreman of any product issues immediately.Continually monitor production equipment.Notify Maintenance and Foreman of any equipment issues immediately.Ensure area is organized and clean.Complete and maintain forklift certification.Complete training by Lead Operator/Foreman/Supervisor.Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnow how to run machines, load packaging onto machine.Calibrate scales, troubleshoot problems.Know how to perform routine maintenance tasks.Knowledge of safety rules, correct machine operation, common sense.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum education level: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Must have two years prior machine or production operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, or similar.Must have strong mathematic skills, the ability to accurately use a tape measure, and be proficient in the metric measurement system.Must have a high level of attention to detail.Ability to work up to 12 hours per day, and weekends as necessary.Ability to sit, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, lift, grasp, pinch, reach, twist, lean, lift, push, pull, and other physical movements necessary to perform duties assigned.Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with extreme temperatures, noise, dust and other conditions typical of a manufacturing plant environment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to verbally communicate effectively in English. Some stations require the ability to write or type effectively in English.Must be able to effectively use a computer and have basic proficiency in MS Excel.Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.Must be reliable, dependable, and able to report to company locations for assigned shifts.Prior forklift experience is a plus.
