The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a detail-oriented Production Operator – Paint Processor to support production processes including dispersion, thindown, quality evaluation, and batch adjustments. This role is responsible for safely producing batches according to specifications, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring product quality standards are met. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWork in a PSM (Process Safety Management) building that includes solvents and solvent-borne materialsComply with all safety rules and standard safety practicesOperate mixing and processing equipment according to production instructionsAccurately add raw materials to batches in the correct order and amountsUse forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and stage materialsMonitor batches during processing to ensure quality standards are being metPerform quality checks and make adjustments to color, viscosity, or strength as directedTransfer materials between tanks or vessels using pumps and transfer hosesRecord batch information such as temperatures, mix times, speeds, and adjustmentsRequired Qualifications1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferredBasic computer skills and ability to learn production and inventory systemsAbility to follow detailed instructions and accurately document workAbility to distinguish between colors and shadesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented attitude with a strong focus on safety and qualityAbility to complete required safety and job-specific trainingAbility to work overtime as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to climb ladders and stairsAbility to stand for extended periods of time and move over, under, and around production equipmentFrequent bending, reaching, lifting hoses, manipulating valves, operating and adjusting equipment, stacking pallets, and carrying materialsAbility to lift 50 lbs.
