Production Operator - 1st or 3rd - 22/hr + BonusThis role involves operating overhead cranes, annealing furnaces, and various production machines to safely move, process, and package steel products in a large industrial facility. You will handle material movement, support multiple production lines, and perform basic troubleshooting to keep equipment running efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work area.ResponsibilitiesOperate overhead cranes to load and unload trucks, load furnaces, move coils, and load and unload machines in a safe and efficient manner.Set up, load, and unload annealing furnaces and assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.Support other areas of the facility while annealing runs are in process, which can last up to two days.Operate a variety of production machines across the facility based on skills and operational needs.Use forklifts to transport materials to storage areas, production workstations, and designated shipping locations.Retrieve steel samples for laboratory testing and compare them against work orders to ensure specifications are met.Clean and maintain areas around machinery to support a safe and organized work environment.Use banding equipment to package materials securely for storage or shipment.Monitor machinery during operation and perform first-line troubleshooting, or clearly communicate issues to maintenance personnel.Maintain and adjust machine controls on multiple types of equipment to ensure consistent production quality.Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment, and adhere to facility guidelines.Work assigned shifts, including nights and weekends as needed, and perform overtime by starting early, staying late, or working additional days when required.This is a Permanent position based out of Ottawa, OH.The pay range for this position is $ - $ /yr.See me for company benefit itemsThis is a fully onsite position in Ottawa, OH.This position is anticipated to close on Aug 17, 2026.
