Production OperatorThis role supports a high-volume automotive manufacturing plant by operating within stamping and body weld departments to produce quality parts in a fast-paced assembly line environment. You will handle automotive components, perform stacking and spot welding tasks, and operate sit-down forklifts while following strict safety and production standards.ResponsibilitiesOperate as a production operator in an automotive manufacturing plant within stamping and body weld departments.Collect, sort, and stack automotive parts as they move through the production process.Work with various sizes and types of parts according to production orders and department needs.Perform spot welding tasks as required on the assembly line.Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently, using at least 2 years of prior forklift experience.Handle heavy lifting of automotive parts and materials, including loading, unloading, and organizing components.Maintain production pace by completing tasks within specified cycle times and finishing allocated parts within the scheduled production time.Follow all safety procedures and adhere to a high-safety, heavy industrial manufacturing environment.Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including Kevlar sleeves, safety gloves, safety glasses, safety helmet, safety face shield, leather apron, ear and noise protection, and steel toe shoes at all times.Stand and remain on your feet for 8 or more hours per day while performing repetitive motions.Comply with a strict attendance policy and arrive on time and prepared for every scheduled shift.Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate coachability by accepting feedback and following instructions.Complete and pass two required online assessments prior to or as part of the onboarding process.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain a safe and efficient work area.Follow all manufacturing and quality standards to ensure that parts meet required specifications.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of recent sit-down forklift experience.Forklift certification or demonstrable forklift operating experience.Ability to perform heavy lifting, sorting, and stacking of automotive parts.Ability to work in a high-safety, heavy industrial manufacturing environment.Ability to stand and be on your feet for 8+ hours per day.Comfort with repetitive motion tasks throughout the shift.High school diploma or GED, with proof required.Willingness and ability to follow strict safety procedures and wear all required PPE.Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.Strong attitude toward safety, reliability, and teamwork.Ability to pass two online assessments.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious manufacturing experience is a strong plus, but not required.Experience in automotive production, stamping, or body weld environments is beneficial.Background in general labor, production, or manufacturing roles.Experience with stacking and spot welding processes.Ability to work effectively in a loud, heavy industrial setting.Demonstrated coachability and willingness to learn new processes and procedures.Why Work Here?You will join a structured, safety-focused industrial environment that offers the opportunity to build hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing and forklift operations. The facility operates with strict attendance expectations and shift flexibility, and you will work with industrial machinery and forklifts in a structured, process-driven setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.95 - $27.70/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
