Apply now!Production Operator Responsibilities:- Manufacture high-quality products while following established work instructions, production specifications and quality standards - Train in at least two of the following three workstations - blending, extrusion and slitting - Mix powders, pigments, and solvents according to recipes - Set up and monitor the extrusion line to process materials and create plastic films with the required dimensions, thickness, and mechanical properties - Set up and monitor the slitter to cut films to the required dimensions and spool settings - Assist with quality control or packaging as needed - Read, understand, and follow each work order - Pull the appropriate materials for each work order and ensure inventory is available - Pre-set products and equipment to prepare for production - Start machinery and initiate production - Monitor production continuously and ensure quality standards are met - Inform the Operator Leader or Production Supervisor of any discrepancies in work order specifications - Enter accurate information regarding work order progress into the system - Label, package, and stock completed products carefully - Work collaboratively with other operators to complete work orders on time and within quality specificationsRequirements for Production Operator:- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability - Basic knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system - Basic Excel skills - Basic knowledge of precision weight measurements and scales - Experience working in a small manufacturing environment with high quality standards - Experience in the plastics industry is a plus - Proactive approach and willingness to learn - Dependability and punctuality - Basic ability to work with technical data and numbers - Ability to read a tape measure or caliper - Strong attention to detail - Basic computer skills - Ability to understand and follow technical work instructions and work orders in English - Ability to stand for extended periods - Ability to perform repetitive tasks - Ability to occasionally lift up to 50–60 pounds without assistance - Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environmentPlease Be Prepared for Our AI Recruiter to Ask These Mandatory Questions:- This position is located in Houston, TX 77066 close to Tomball.
