Since 1938, we have been producing high-quality products for you and your family.Schedule: 2nd ShiftEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production linePerform cleanings during set down times and product changeoversLoad/unload stacks and moves items as assignedSort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled unitsMark or place identifying labels on product loads, ensuring that all finished product is coded properlyRecord movement of stock in and out of work areasAbility to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficultiesMonitor materials, products and equipment at each step of the process and reports irregularities to supervisorMaintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiencyEnsure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate formatUtilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processesFollow Good Manufacturing PracticesFollow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etcReport any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediatelyOther duties assigned or required1 year experienceWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed moving mechanical parts and forklifts.The employee is occasionally exposed to wet / humid / cold conditions (non-weather).The noise level in the work environment may be loud.The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and sit.The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Prairie Farms, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
