Accurate packaging and data collection for each order. Each employee considers food safety and consumer safety while performing work.
Participates in GMP and food safety training. Follows GMP policy. Reports all food safety concerns with urgency.Job Duties:QUALITY CONTROL:Responsible for checking job ticket extrusion instructionsNoting any size or gauge tolerancesNoting any special packaging or labeling instructionsChecking product to ensure it conforms to job ticket specs.Verifying sizeCompleting "Size" Chart (not S.P.C.
Charts)Must understand importance of size and gauge checksVerifying that gussets are set up correctlyBlockingGels, blending problemsDirty Die FaceCheck product for treatPACKAGING:Responsible for proper packaging of productsMust obtain proper packaging information from job ticketShould know pallet and cradle sizesNeed to know location of packaging suppliesProduct must be packaged in a neat and professional mannerDATA COLLECTION:Responsible for entering production in computerMust understand importance of correct data entriesMust weigh every other roll & notify operator if not correctRoll stock – all rolls must be weighedMust track all scrap and make entries in data collectionResponsible for correct job start and stop timesLABELING:Must obtain proper labeling information from job ticketResponsible for printing labelsLabeling must be done correctly and neatlyLabels should be centered and lined up on the boxMust ensure that pallet/bin labels are correctly completedResponsible for inserting a white label, with correct weight, into coreMACHINERY:Train for operator duties and responsibilities, including being able and willing to learn downstream equipment and maintenance operationsShould be able to perform basic adjustments to the master roll winder.Should be able to thread all downstream equipmentMust have basic understanding of extrusion processShould be able to make minor adjustments to the master roll winder.Should be able to adjust tension on winder and understand how it affects the rollMust be able to keep tools and miscellaneous metal parts off floor (out of scrap)Qualifications:Required Knowledge:Previous manufacturing experience preferredAbility to read a tape measureBasic math skills requiredGood communication skills requiredAbility to pass a color-blind testSome previous computer data entry preferred7 AM – 7 PM (day shift), and 7 PM – 7 AM (night shift). Every 28 days these rotate between days and nights.
