You'll work hands-on with coating and production equipment while troubleshooting issues and making adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.Set up, operate, maintain, adjust, and perform changeovers on production and coating equipmentPerform equipment wash-up and routine maintenance activitiesTroubleshoot mechanical and quality issues and determine the appropriate corrective actionMake repairs and adjustments to return equipment to service as quickly and safely as possibleMonitor equipment performance to help maximize production efficiency and product qualityOperate and monitor oven and coating equipmentIdentify potential equipment problems before they become larger production issuesMaintain accurate production, maintenance, and changeover recordsKeep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and organizedImmediately report accidents, equipment damage, unusual events, or emergency situations to supervisionFollow all safety, quality, and production proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by managementWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious manufacturing experience preferred, but mechanically inclined candidates with the right attitude are encouraged to applyMechanical aptitude and a willingness to learnAbility to read, write, understand, and follow instructionsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDependable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a teamCan-do, will-do attitudeAbility to work a 12-hour night shift on a 4-on/4-off scheduleGrow With Us At Silgan, we believe in developing our people and promoting from within.
