You make a difference.Position SummaryThe Sr. Production Manager is responsible for delivery of products through their assigned area and is a champion of the site wide Operations Strategy. They will be responsible for partnering with all functions within the business to develop, drive, and implement improvements to the manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the safety of your team by enforcing established safety and health policies and procedures contributing to promoting employee safety and wellbeing and preventing accidents and working to improve TRIR year over yearDirect and manage daily manufacturing activitiesCoordinate and lead plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective mannerCreate daily production schedules, determine manpower needs required to meet production throughput demandsEstablish and monitor measurements for assigned areas: plant performance for quality, delivery and costEffective and efficient use of Lean Manufacturing and associated tools in all areas of the organizationProvide leadership and training on CIRCOR Operating System (COS) tools to accomplish company goals and objectivesFully support Manufacturing Excellence / Lean Conversion Roadmap resulting in revolutionizing the shop floor and creating an Operator-Led Process Control environmentCommunicate frequently and effectively to associates throughout the organization. Establish and maintain effective communication vehicles such as toolbox meetings, employee meetings, roundtable discussions, and one-on-one meetingsProvide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility which include Machine Shop, Welders, and AssemblersCoordinate the hiring and training of operations personnelRemove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goalsEncourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environmentRemove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiency and enhance productivitySupport, as necessary, research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategiesMaintain and support a superior 6S program, including all timely communicationWork closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement initiativesMust possess exceptional people skillsCandidate ProfileKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPrevious experience / broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policiesStrong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trendsPrevious experience and knowledge of best practices when implementing and using continuous improvement / lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvementDemonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skillsDemonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skillsDemonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineeringExcellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needsExcellent interpersonal communication and listening abilityA strong ability to be adaptable and flexibleStrong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environmentHighly motivated, results oriented, drivenMust demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsEducation & ExperienceAt minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Business / Finance / Management / Operations or another related field (5 years of Manufacturing leadership experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)MBA is Preferred3+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facilityOtherU.S.
