Together, we co-create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture.The Production Manager, Publishing is tasked with overseeing the production processes from manuscript to bound book, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and establishing quality standards.

This role works closely with editorial, design, and external vendors to manage workflows, troubleshoot production challenges, and maintain consistency across all published materials.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Manage the full production lifecycle for publications from manuscript handoff through final print or digital release for a variety of fiction and nonfiction titles across both Paramount's adult and children's listsDevelop and maintain production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met across multiple concurrent projectsRequest and review quotes from vendors, prepare pricing estimates, and monitor production specs for adherence to budgetCoordinate with editorial, design, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on timelines, specifications, and deliverablesLiaise with external partners and vendors to obtain quotes; negotiate competitive pricingManage updates and corrections across systems and partners as neededMonitor budgets and control production costs, identifying efficiencies where possibleReview and route production materials including proofs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand and style guidelinesImplement and refine workflows, tools, and best practices to improve operational efficiencyEnsure compliance with publishing standards, accessibility requirements, and technical specificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree5+ years' experience in publishing production or managing editorial environmentsDemonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneouslyDeep knowledge of print production processes, including prepress, file formats, and distribution channels; digital experience a plusExperience working with content management systems and production tracking toolsProven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teamsAdditional Qualifications:Excellent project management and organizational skillsSolid attention to detail and commitment to qualityProblem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in dynamic environmentsBudget management and cost-control awarenessParamount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
