Production ManagerOur client who is a global manufacturer in the biopharma/traceable products space is seeking a Production Manager for their site in North Charleston, SC! The Production Manager manages and performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s analytical standards including but not limited to direct management of production employees, quality control, raw material processing, packaging, and planning production for their area and coordination of resources with management.Job Highlights:Direct HireOnsite in North Charleston, South CarolineOnsite, Monday - Friday, 1st shift hoursSalary: $80-90k, based on experienceExcellent Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, 401k(Savings and Investment), Legal Plan, Home and Auto Insurance, Referral Program, Wellness Program, Health Savings Account, PTO Buy up plan, PTO and generous holiday scheduleYour Role Within The CompanyOversee team of 7-10 direct reports Interviews, hires, trains, develops, coaches, motivates and evaluates staff.Deliver manufacturing outputs to quality, time, and cost goals through data driven production planning, labor allocation, and resource management.Work with Operations Manager to understand overall production volume and mix goals, establish performance measures for areas of responsibility.Conducts risk assessments and auditsLead with a continuous improvement mindset to improve timeliness of the production schedule, workflow efficiency, just-in-time WIP inventory levels, product quality, and employee effectiveness.Completes production plan by establishing priorities, scheduling and assigning personnel, revising schedules, and reporting results.Be comfortable leading strategy and tactics, making data driven decisions, engaging early in the feasibility stage of new product development and catching developed products for successful commercial launches.Other duties as assignedBackground Profile:Bachelors degree in Science (chemistry/biology preferred).5+ years of related experience. 2+ years of direct supervisory experience required.A background in Lean Manufacturing skills and hands on experience in continuous improvement initiatives and projects is preferredQuick learner, ability to pick up and create procedures and processes quickly.Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures, within deadlines or other time essential constraints
