Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a 24/7 manufacturing operation across mixing, laboratory testing, filling, packaging, and shipping. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on developing teams, improving processes, and ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance coordination, quality, shipping/receiving, staffing, and planning.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, labor utilization, and overtime needs.
- Develop and coach supervisors and production teams.
- Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and make critical decisions to minimize downtime.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Maintain work instructions, SOPs, and production processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of Production Manager or Plant Manager leadership experience in manufacturing
- Experience leading supervisors, managers, leads, and frontline production teams
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, GMP, and continuous improvement
- Experience overseeing multi-shift manufacturing operations
- SAP experience with batch management and production orders
- Background in chemical, coatings, paint, or similar process manufacturing
