TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGERFLSA: EXEMPTREPORTS TO: DIRECTOR, WAFER MANUFACTURINGSUMMARY:Under the direction of the Director of Wafer Manufacturing, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring all objectives are consistently attained in the areas of quality, productivity, yield, and cost; overseeing the work, training, and performance of operators, technicians, and supervisors; developing, implementing, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including preparing and maintain production reports; and analyzing quality controls to ensure standards are met. This position is located in Milpitas, California.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Oversees and directs the work of the Operators, Technicians, and Supervisors evaluates performance, establishes goals, and makes employment-related decisions such as promotions, hiring, and terminationsEnsures that all objectives are consistently attained in the areas of quality, productivity, yield, and costEstablishes appropriate workforce targets and collaborates with Staffing and Production Supervisors to ensure that recruitment targets are met consistentlyDevelops, implements, and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for production and quality goalsPrepares, maintains, and presents production reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisMeasures and continuously improves compliance in all aspects of manufacturing, including Operators, Supervisors, and TechniciansWorks with the equipment maintenance team to qualify and maintain tools and/or equipment; schedules repairs during production down-time to minimize line disruptionReviews, monitors, and prioritizes multiple product flowsResponds to inquiries from other departments or groups regarding production issuesMaintains compliance with Headway's quality policy and ensures compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirementsManage and mentor direct reports regarding Headway’s Quality Management System (QMS) as it relates to their job functionSustain and provide continual improvements to the QMS as required by job functionIdentifies gaps in the production process and makes recommendations which reduce scrap, improve quality, and minimize cycle timeAdheres to all safety policies and proceduresPerforms other duties of a similar nature or level*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing, or equivalent relevant experienceFive years of increasing challenging experience working in a manufacturing environment in the semiconductor industryTwo years of experience in a management or supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environmentProficient in the use of Microsoft Office ApplicationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniquesKnowledge of semiconductor industry specifically wafer fab productionKnowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentationsKnowledge and ability to use Statistical Process Control and Lean Manufacturing techniquesAble to establish and implement KPI’s to monitor and measure production performanceAble to analyze data, create various reports, and recommend corrective actionAble to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and managementAble to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and managementAble to comply with all safety policies and proceduresDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skillsFlexible and able to prioritizeThe annual base salary for this full-time position is between $128,967.46-$188,187.44 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The annual base pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.WORKING CONDITIONS:The Production Manager works primarily in an office environment. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to high-volume noise and/or hazardous materials such as chemicals or particulate matter. Stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements, bends, and twists; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment.
