As the Production Manager, you will perform a wide range of duties related to the physical production of signs, which includes production and installation scheduling, project planning, inventory management, quality assurance, and supervising department personnel.
You will use your leadership skills to ensure the Production team completes all projects on time and with the highest quality while being a team player and providing support for all functions as needed.ResponsibilitiesPrioritizes workflow, communicates with production staff daily, and supervises the production processSchedules production board and installation schedule dailyPerforms quality assurance measures pre- and post-constructionCommunicates with other employees to ensure production is completed on time and with high qualityManages the inventory purchasing and storage processSupervises basic installations and completes more advanced installationsAssesses and maintains current technology and works with franchise partner to investigate and potentially introduce new technology and equipment to staffTrains employees on equipment, tools, and efficiency-building methodsServes as a backup for overflow production needsEnsures that all necessary paperwork is completedPerforms other duties as needed, such as answering the phone, helping at the front counter, consulting with customers, etc.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferredPrevious sign or print industry experience requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient computer and internet skillsAble to stand for long periods of timeAble to lift 50 or more poundsMust have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrateAble to work well under pressure to output high volume, high-quality workAble to use light power equipmentFork lift experience preferredConstruction experienceWoodworking/cabinet making experience helpful
