Production Manager

Production ManagerThe Production Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day plant production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement objectives. This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive key performance indicators (KPIs), enforce Lean/6S standards, resolve production and scheduling challenges, and develop supervisory talent to sustain high levels of operational performance.Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure output, quality, cost, and schedule targets are consistently met.Monitor production KPIs and operational metrics; identify issues in real time and implement corrective actions.Resolve operating, staffing, scheduling, and production challenges to meet changing business demands.Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean/6S practices, process optimization, and waste reduction.Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams.Maintain accurate production, labor, attendance, and KPI reporting; review and approve timekeeping.Supervise, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline associates in accordance with company policy and law.Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety programs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment with a strong focus on safety.High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or technical training preferred.5+ years of experience in food manufacturing or confectionery production with supervisory responsibility.Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement and Lean/6S initiatives.Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Bilingual Spanish preferred.Strong attention to detail and basic math proficiency.Ability to work extended periods on the production floor and flexible scheduling.Medical, Dental, Vision, AFLAC, and Pet InsurancePaid Vacation, PTO, Annual Reviews, and Competitive Salary401(k) with Company MatchEmployee Discounts and moreNassau Candy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
