Production Lead – Cosmetics ManufacturingPosition Title: Production Lead Industry: Cosmetics / Beauty Manufacturing Department: Production Reports To: Production Supervisor / Operations ManagerJob SummaryThe Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within a cosmetics manufacturing environment. This role ensures production goals are met while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient workflow. The Production Lead provides direction to production staff and supports continuous improvement in processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise production team members on assigned shiftAssign daily tasks and monitor workflow to meet production targetsOversee filling, labeling, batching, and packaging of cosmetic productsEnsure products meet quality control standards and GMP requirementsTrack production output and report performance metricsTroubleshoot minor equipment and process issuesEnsure materials and components are available for production runsCoordinate line changeovers and setup for different product runsMaintain cleanroom and sanitation standardsEnforce safety policies and proceduresTrain new employees and provide ongoing coachingCommunicate with QA, Warehouse, and Management teamsRequired Qualifications2+ years of production experience in manufacturing (cosmetics preferred)1+ year of leadership or lead experienceKnowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Ability to work in fast-paced production environmentStrong communication and leadership skillsBasic computer skills (production tracking systems, Excel)Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbsFlexible to work overtime if neededPreferred QualificationsExperience in cosmetics, skincare, or personal care manufacturingKnowledge of batching, compounding, or filling linesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
