Production Forklift Operator

Staffmark is hiring a Production Forklift Operator for a growing manufacturing facility in Tupelo, MS. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with warehouse or manufacturing experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements:

  • 1+ year of manufacturing or warehouse experience required.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of quality and safety standards preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products.
  • Pack products accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect products for quality defects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist production teams and support daily operations.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and 5S procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
  • Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
  • Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Production Forklift Operator.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency with a "get it done" attitude.

Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
  • Ability to lift up to pounds as required.
