Production EngineerTN - Springfield, TN 37172DescriptionThe Production Engineering position works closely with the Quality and Production departments to support production and process improvement activities. The position serves as a technical expert for production on all things process related and will routinely provide hands on training and guidance to production personnel. Success in this position will require the individual to maintain a high level of knowledge on a diverse range of products.Essential Responsibilities:In order to be successful in this role you'll need the following:Ability to read and understand schematic drawingsA high degree of competence in MS Office programsRead, write, and interpret documented production processesAbility to audit production processes and report findingsAbility to productively work with every level of the organizationAbility to identify and address production related concernsKnowledge of CAD software (ex: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, SketchUp)Operational knowledge of common manufacturing best practicesQualifications / Requirements:Required:Combination of formal training and work experience in relevant technical fieldMechanical ability and experience with common manufacturing equipmentExcellent verbal and written communicationExperience working within a defined process workflowPreferred:Bachelors in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Science, or other relevant technical degreeExperience working in a job shop environmentExperience training others in a manufacturing environmentExperience with Laser inspection equipmentExperience with 3D printingPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk, as well as push, pull, squat, bend, stoop and reach frequently during shiftsAbility to regularly push/pull and lift/carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 poundsMust have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or operate machines as directed.Prolonged periods standing.We Hire You To Retire You:Airtech is a family-owned global leader in materials used to manufacture high-performance composite parts.
