Position: Production Engineer II
Exact Location: Plaquemine, LA
Pay Rate: $125-132k
Hours: Mon-Fri 9 hour shift with every other Friday of
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 4+ years of production engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, including Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)
- Experience conducting incident investigations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues
Preferred:
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems
- Experience working SAP or other manufacturing systems
Day–to–Day:
A large chemical manufacturing client of Insight Global is seeking a Production Engineer II to join their site in Plaquemine, LA. This person will be responsible for leading all production engineering efforts, including running the daily process review meeting, analyzing current processes and leading change management, evaluating all hand-over to operations, and completing incident investigations for the site. This role will involve heavy root-cause analysis, change management, and transparency within engineering and operations. This will be an onsite position, working a 9/80 schedule. The established salary for this role is $125,000-130,000, based on experience.
