Production Associate / Forklift OperatorHiring for 1st and 2nd shift!!!$17-20Job DescriptionThe Production Associate works in the Latex department on a high-volume production line that mixes and fills paint products into containers ranging from single quart cans to five-gallon buckets. This role focuses on operating packaging and filling equipment, monitoring product quality, and supporting material handling activities to keep the production line running safely and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesWork on the production line in the Latex department where paint, stains, and aerosol products are mixed and filled into cans and buckets.Start up and shut down conveyor systems, filling machines, and labeling machines according to established procedures.Select production jobs on the machine interface, enter batch numbers, and set target weights for each run.Monitor automated filling and weighing operations to ensure cans are filled accurately, and verify that the system rejects containers that fall outside weight tolerances.Replace rolls of labels on labeling equipment as needed and confirm that labels are correctly applied to all containers.Load stacks of boxes onto the production line so the machine can automatically pull boxes, insert filled paint cans, and tape boxes closed.Monitor boxed product as it moves up the conveyor and into the adjacent room for palletizing, ensuring a steady and organized product flow.Operate a forklift as needed to label finished pallets, remove them from the conveyor area, and stage them in the warehouse.Assist with unloading trucks carrying materials, primarily empty cans and related packaging components, using pallet jacks or forklifts as appropriate.Follow all safety procedures when working with paint and chemicals, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to plant safety rulesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
