If you enjoy working with your hands, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, this is a great opportunity to build valuable skills in a stable manufacturing setting.Production Associate Responsibilities:Sorts and stacks products or lumber on racks or pallets, according to predetermined sequence such as size or type of woodAssembles customer bundles from stock and places orders on pallets or bands bundles togetherMarks materials with identifying informationPaints by spray or brush, lettering with markersStacks and bundles lumber from resaw lineReports any and all mechanical problems to lead personCounts bundles of lumberAssists in making crates and palletsWorks on the production line to ensure lumber is flowing smoothlyUses a tape measure to check board measurementsSweeps and cleans work area as neededCompletes visual inspections of productsRotates with housekeeping duties, including breakrooms and bathroomsRequirements for Production Associate:High school diploma or GEDAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbersAbility to read and understand work orders and verbal instructionsAbility to accurately and comfortably read measuring equipmentExperience in wood manufacturing and knowledge of wood sizes and grains preferredAbility to work in hot/humid summer conditions and cooler winter conditionsAbility to work in dusty and loud environmentsAbility to stand and walk on concrete for 100% of shiftAbility to lift 50 pounds up to 50% of the timeAbility to twist and bend at the waist throughout the shiftQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
