Production AssemblerThe Production Assembler supports manufacturing operations by loading and unloading materials, assisting machine operators, and sorting small, lightweight parts into crates. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient production flow and ensuring products are prepared and organized for further processing or shipment.ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload parts and materials from machines, workstations, and designated areas in a safe and efficient manner.Assist machine operators with daily production activities, including feeding materials, monitoring output, and supporting changeovers as needed.Sort small, lightweight parts into crates, ensuring accurate counts and proper organization according to production requirements.Handle crates that may become heavy once filled, using proper lifting techniques and equipment where appropriate.Perform basic assembly tasks as directed to support production and packaging processes.Operate production and general labor equipment, including forklifts when qualified, to move materials and finished goods.Conduct visual inspection of parts and products to identify defects or inconsistencies and report issues promptly.Use hand tools safely and correctly for assembly, adjustment, or minor equipment-related tasks.Follow blueprints or work instructions when required to ensure products meet specifications.Support packaging operations, including packing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.Comply with all safety policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment.Work overtime as needed, including extended hours and flexible start or end times, to meet production demands.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, KY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.25/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
