AssemblerWe are looking for an experienced Assembler who will produce complex outputs by putting together smaller components. Your duties will include ensuring all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product, using your hands or machines to do the job with greater precision. We expect you to possess good technical knowledge together with great manual dexterity. You should also be able to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings and schematics etc.

Our products run on proprietary software, so this role has two sides: physical assembly and software setup and configuration. No prior experience with our products or in manufacturing is required. What matters is that you are comfortable with computers, pay close attention to detail, and take pride in doing clean, consistent work.What You Will DoAssemble autodialer units and related equipment using hand tools, following written instructions and diagramsInstall wiring, connectors, circuit boards, and hardware components into chassis and enclosuresPerform basic electrical assembly including crimping, wire stripping, and light solderingUse RACO's proprietary software to configure and program finished unitsProgram firmware onto ICs and run basic functional tests, recording results on build logs or traveler sheetsInspect completed assemblies for visible defects, missing parts, or incorrect connectionsPrepare components and organize materials before beginning each buildKeep your workstation clean and organized throughout the shiftMaintain accurate records of production quantities and timeFlag quality issues or defective parts to your supervisor promptlyFollow all safety guidelinesWhat We Are Looking ForComfortable with computers and able to learn new software programs confidently — this is a mustAble to follow written and visual work instructions carefully and consistentlyGood hand-eye coordination and ease working with small parts and fine detailBasic math skills: measuring, counting, reading part numbersStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality over speedReliable, punctual, and willing to take directionProfessional and respectful communicatorNice to Have (Not Required)Any hands-on experience with electronics, wiring, or mechanical assemblyFamiliarity with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, or crimping toolsExperience in a production or manufacturing environmentPhysical RequirementsComfortable sitting or standing at a workbench for extended periodsAble to handle small components and use fine motor skills throughout the shiftGood near vision (corrected is fine)Occasional lifting up to 30 lbsWork EnvironmentThis is an indoor, air-conditioned production floor in our West Berkeley facility.
